AI in tech: from hype to tool
Two years ago, AI was still a buzzword at conferences. Today it runs in production at thousands of businesses. Not as an experiment, but as part of daily operations. Customer service, security, data analysis, telephony: everywhere AI appears as a solution for challenges that were previously too expensive or too complex.
Yet there is a difference between "using AI" and "deploying AI in a way that actually delivers value." Many businesses place a chatbot on their website and call it innovation. Meanwhile, that chatbot answers three out of ten questions correctly and forwards the rest to the same employee who was always there.
At TCAI Solutions, we believe in AI and humans together. Technology that accelerates and supports work, with people who guard quality and make the final decisions.
Three areas where AI makes a difference now
1. Helpdesk and incident management
At many businesses, resolving incidents takes unnecessarily long. Not because employees lack capability, but because the right information is scattered across manuals, previous tickets and internal documents. Especially for new colleagues, it takes a long time before they can resolve issues independently.
That is where AI comes in. Not as a replacement for the employee, but as a smart assistant that immediately presents the right steps.
Our product: TSS (Troubleshoot Support Suite)
In practice, TSS works like this: a customer calls with a problem. The helpdesk agent types the question or issue into the chat. TSS recognises the type of problem, consults that company's playbooks and immediately shows the agent the right steps to resolve it. Does it need escalation? TSS determines who to escalate to and how, based on company policy.
What TSS offers:
- Custom playbooks: structured step-by-step procedures tailored to your business processes. The agent does not need to search, TSS shows the way
- Smart knowledge base: TSS learns from existing documentation, manuals and previous tickets. New employees are onboarded faster, experienced colleagues find the right answer more quickly
- Escalation based on company policy: does it not fit within the playbook? TSS automatically escalates to the right person, with the full context included
- Your rules, not generic answers: every suggestion TSS makes is based on your own procedures and guidelines
The result: agents who act faster, make fewer mistakes and work consistently according to company policy. The AI thinks along, the human decides.
2. Security and NIS2 compliance
The NIS2 directive has been active in the EU since October 2024. Dutch businesses in critical sectors (energy, transport, healthcare, digital infrastructure) must demonstrate that their cybersecurity is in order. Penalties for non-compliance can reach 10 million euros or 2% of annual turnover.
Many SMEs do not even know whether NIS2 applies to them. And if they do know, the expertise or budget for a full security assessment is lacking. An external pentest easily costs 5,000 to 25,000 euros per engagement.
Our product: SignalWise
SignalWise is our NIS2 compliance and pentest tool that works in 10 phases:
- Scope definition: which systems and networks need to be tested
- Automated scan: detecting vulnerabilities in your infrastructure
- Risk analysis: prioritising based on impact and likelihood
- NIS2 mapping: which findings fall under which NIS2 requirements
- Reporting: clear report that non-technical people can understand
- Recommendations: concrete steps to remediate vulnerabilities
- Verification: re-scanning after fixes to confirm resolution
- Compliance dashboard: real-time overview of your NIS2 status
- Periodic monitoring: not one-time, but ongoing
- Human-in-the-loop: a security expert reviews every scan before publication
The difference with other scanners: SignalWise is not a black box that produces a PDF. It is an ongoing process with human oversight and concrete action.
3. Telephony and VoIP
Business telephony is changing rapidly. The traditional phone exchange is making way for VoIP systems via the internet. But the real shift is in what happens with those conversations.
Imagine: a customer calls in German. The system recognises the language, translates the conversation in real-time to Dutch for the employee and translates the answer back to German for the customer. No more language barrier, without extra staff.
Our VoIP solution with AI
The TSS VoIP module combines:
- Speech-to-Text (STT): conversations are converted to text in real-time via Whisper, our own speech recognition model on our own servers
- Text-to-Speech (TTS): responses are spoken via Piper, with natural voices in 6 languages (Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian)
- Real-time translation: conversations are translated between all supported languages
- Automatic summaries: after every call, a summary in your CRM
- Conversation analysis: sentiment analysis, topic detection and trends over time
Why our own servers?
Many AI solutions run on external cloud platforms. That means your business data, from customer conversations to security scans, sits on servers you have no direct control over.
At TCAI Solutions, everything runs on our own servers in the Netherlands:
- No dependency on external cloud: when there is an outage elsewhere, our system keeps running
- Full control over data: we know exactly where every byte is stored
- GDPR-compliant by design: data does not leave the Netherlands
- Predictable costs: no monthly cloud bill that scales with usage
Who are these solutions for?
Our products are built for Dutch SMEs and mid-market:
- TSS: for businesses where helpdesk staff need to follow the right steps quickly during incidents. IT service providers, service companies, organisations with an internal helpdesk
- SignalWise: for businesses that fall under NIS2 or want to improve their security. IT companies, healthcare institutions, logistics and energy
- VoIP with AI: for businesses that serve multilingual customers or operate internationally. Import/export, tourism and international services
What sets TCAI Solutions apart?
Three things:
- We build it ourselves. No white-label solutions from third parties. Our code, our servers, our control
- AI and humans together. Technology supports, people decide. Every system has human oversight built in
- We run locally. Our own servers in the Netherlands. Your data stays with us
